In the throes of creating art for my Asheville LAB show True North, June 2014. Will not be distracting myself with social media or the like (pulled the Hermit card twice this last read). Honoring my fast and my need to be bat shit crazy...alone, locked in my studio. If you need me, you can message me. Taking orders for June/July currently so if you know you want something hit me up. Otherwise...posts will be coming from here or my blog and bouncing through the inter-world. Alright. Love you. Miss you. xo
Seriously...can't believe I pulled this off. I have this great client that really challenges me in my work. I've painted Tupac, Jimmy and Marilyn for her so far...as well as a great painting of the Golden Gate Bridge (Check gallery below; I will post them). I love hearing from her because I know she is going to request something that makes me say something like, "oh shit" at first...(she only now knows that this is what I REALLY say instead of my reply which via text is "Awesome, so excited to do this for you".) This reality conveys the fact that...I'm never really sure I can do it. I KNOW I'll try my best even if it takes an extra 10 hours more than I bid the job for.
Mohammad Ali, holy shit...really. I did it.
I often stand back from a painting and just shake my head. I have no idea where it comes from some days; but how lucky am I have to this gift inside of me that still surprises even me.
Thank you Vanessa, your energy, enthusiasm, excitement and love of art is contagious and I feel so lucky to have you as a muse!
